Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is she is a Mexican American journalist. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been since when she was nine years old. This skill was instrumental in securing her first position at Univision, Miami. She had the opportunity to collaborate with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS station of St. Petersburg hired her after this as reporters for sports. She was a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. The stories she covered were about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs within both Texas and Mexico. Anchor duties for weather, sports or other events were frequent requests. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She produced pieces about the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was anchor. The anchor was also anchoring the sports section of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in a similar capacity for the network's magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in Veracruz Mexico. She was born on 22nd November the 22nd of November, 1985 in Mexico City. There is also a sister. The family in 1992 relocated from Mexico and relocated to Miami. She divorced her parents shortly afterwards and in 1995 she tied the knot with a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo was diagnosed with kidney cancer. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister throughout the summer which was the time she received an opportunity to work. A senior in high school and yet having an idea of what she wanted to do for her life, Antonietta was able to visit The University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her needs. She loved the campus. They also offered her the major that she desired. After completing her studies, she was admitted to the university with a degree in media studies. Her instructor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU Radio and was part of her class, formed a strong relationship with the student. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. In turn, she attempted to live up to his expectations and never let him down.
